    Waist measurements should be taken at the navel level and the measurement must be tight. This is usually taken 2 inches higher than your hip bone or higher from where your trousers are usually worn.

    FELL MEASUREMENTS (OPTIONAL)

    This measurement should be halfway between the waist and seat (bottom). The fell is the distance from the waistline to the hip measurement line. It’s not necessary

    HIP / SEAT SIZE (OPTIONAL)

    Please put your feet together, then measure the broadest part of your hips. Ensure that your pockets are empty! It’s not necessary.

    *KILT LENGHT (INCHES)

    Please kneel on the ground, place the tape on the floor then measure up to your belly button. Remember that kilts shouldn’t be worn too long!

How to measure for your kilt

  1. WaistMeasure around your waist at navel level, about 2" above your hip bone. Keep the tape snug but not tight.
  2. Hip / seat (optional)Feet together, measure around the widest part of your hips with your pockets empty.
  3. Fell (optional)The distance from your waist line down to your hip line.
  4. Kilt lengthKneel on the floor and measure from the floor up to your navel. A kilt should sit at the middle of the knee.

A utility kilt — pockets, a heavier build, and made to be worn and worked in rather than saved for weddings.

Made to order, not off a shelf

Nothing here is pre-made. Send us your waist, hip and length and it is cut and stitched to those figures, with the straps giving another two inches of adjustment either way.

Looking after it

Hand wash cold, hang to dry, and empty the pockets first. Press on a low heat if it needs it.
