  • *WAIST SIZE (INCHES)

    Waist measurements should be taken at the navel level and the measurement must be tight. This is usually taken 2 inches higher than your hip bone or higher from where your trousers are usually worn.

    FELL MEASUREMENTS (OPTIONAL)

    This measurement should be halfway between the waist and seat (bottom). The fell is the distance from the waistline to the hip measurement line. It’s not necessary

    HIP / SEAT SIZE (OPTIONAL)

    Please put your feet together, then measure the broadest part of your hips. Ensure that your pockets are empty! It’s not necessary.

    *KILT LENGTH (INCHES)

    Please kneel on the ground, place the tape on the floor then measure up to your belly button. Remember that kilts shouldn’t be worn too long!

The Gordon Weathered tartan, made up as a traditional kilt and cut to your own measurements.

Made for you, not off a shelf

Nothing here is pre-made. You send us your waist, hip and length measurements and the kilt is cut and hand-stitched to those figures by our kilt makers. The straps then give a further two inches of adjustment either way, so it still fits if your size shifts.

Specification

  • Cloth: Acrylic wool, woven in the Gordon Weathered sett
  • Pleating: Your choice — pleated to the sett, or pleated to the stripe
  • Front apron: Triple fringed
  • Straps and buckles: 100% leather straps, rust-free buckles
  • Lining: Cotton, for comfort and to help the kilt hang properly
  • Waist: Adjustable two inches above and below your measurement
  • Belt loops: Fitted as standard

Looking after it

Hand wash in cold water and hang to dry. Keep it away from harsh chemicals and the colours will stay true.

    Beautiful kilt. Very well made. We had a slight issue between us regarding the delivery date but only because Kilt 4 Less waited for 16oz material to make the kilt as it was for a wedding.All in all I’m delighted with the kilt (and matching tie and flashes) and would thoroughly recommend these guys if you want to buy a kilt
